The Access Group, one of the world’s leading providers of business management software solutions, has announced the appointment of Arup Mukherjee as Head of Marketing – Hospitality APAC, marking a strategic step in strengthening its hospitality leadership presence across the Asia-Pacific region.

The appointment comes at a time when The Access Group is rapidly expanding its hospitality technology footprint across APAC through its portfolio of hospitality brands, including STAAH, ResDiary, Guestline, and SHR — all now operating under the Access ecosystem. Collectively, STAAH and associated hospitality brands currently serve more than 30,000 hospitality properties across 90 countries, reinforcing the company’s growing influence within the global hospitality technology landscape.

In his new role, Arup Mukherjee will spearhead the company’s hospitality marketing strategy across Asia-Pacific, focusing on brand development, demand generation, regional expansion, customer engagement, and strategic market growth. He will also play a key role in strengthening The Access Group’s positioning as an employer of choice within the region’s competitive technology and hospitality ecosystem.

A seasoned B2B marketing leader with over 16 years of experience, Arup brings deep expertise spanning hospitality technology, regional market development, growth strategy, and MarTech transformation. Prior to joining The Access Group, he was with Wolters Kluwer, where he successfully built and scaled the company’s marketing function and implemented a comprehensive MarTech stack. Before that, he served as Head of India GTS Marketing at Gartner, leading global demand generation initiatives across emerging markets.

Arup also spent nearly a decade with Cvent, where he rose to the role of Regional Manager – Field Marketing, overseeing marketing initiatives across EMEA and APAC while supporting the company’s expansion into new international markets. His long-standing focus on emerging economies has given him a nuanced understanding of how hospitality and technology brands can scale meaningfully across diverse cultural and commercial landscapes. He is also an alumnus of IIM Calcutta, where he completed the Advanced Programme for Executives certification.

The Access Group believes the Asia-Pacific region, particularly India, represents one of the most dynamic growth opportunities in hospitality technology today. With increasing demand for cloud-based hospitality solutions, AI-powered revenue systems, channel management tools, booking engines, and reputation management platforms, the company is positioning itself aggressively to support the next phase of digital transformation within the hospitality sector.

Central to this vision is Access Evo, the company’s AI-powered platform designed to streamline operations, automate workflows, and improve decision-making for hospitality businesses. Through capabilities such as channel management, booking engines, revenue management, and reputation management, the platform aims to help hotels and hospitality operators optimise performance while enhancing guest experiences.

Commenting on the appointment, Louise Daley, Head of Hospitality APAC, The Access Group, said:

“We have a strong and growing base of hospitality customers across India and APAC through STAAH, ResDiary, Guestline, and SHR. Our focus is on ensuring every hospitality business has the technology, support, and partnership they need to grow. Arup brings exactly the kind of marketing leadership required to help us scale meaningfully across the region.”

Speaking about his new role, Arup Mukherjee added:

“The Access Group is at a genuinely exciting inflection point in APAC. Having spent a significant part of my career building markets across APAC and EMEA, this opportunity feels like a natural and exciting next step. I look forward to building a marketing engine that authentically connects with hospitality operators and drives measurable growth across the region.”

With hospitality businesses across Asia-Pacific increasingly investing in automation, AI-driven operations, and digital guest engagement, industry observers believe Arup’s appointment signals The Access Group’s long-term commitment to becoming a dominant force in hospitality technology across the region.

Founded in the United Kingdom, The Access Group today serves more than 160,000 organisations globally and employs over 9,700 professionals across Europe, the United States, and Asia-Pacific. The company continues to expand its integrated cloud and AI-powered software solutions across multiple industries, including hospitality, retail, healthcare, education, and finance.
