Reinforcing its vision of driving innovation in hospitality, IHCL Goa hosted Tech Fest 2026 at Taj Cidade de Goa, bringing together engineering experts, hospitality professionals and leading technology partners to showcase the latest advancements in smart, efficient and sustainable hotel operations.

The event highlighted how technology is transforming the hospitality industry by creating hotels that are not only more efficient and environmentally responsible but also capable of delivering enhanced guest experiences.

With evolving traveller expectations placing greater emphasis on sustainability and smart services, Tech Fest 2026 demonstrated how intelligent infrastructure is becoming an integral part of modern hospitality. The event showcased innovative technologies designed to improve operational efficiency, strengthen safety standards and significantly reduce environmental impact.

Among the key highlights were smart energy management systems, predictive maintenance technologies, and IoT-enabled monitoring platforms that use real-time data to optimise the consumption of electricity, water and fuel while enabling proactive management of hotel assets.

The exhibition also featured energy-efficient chillers capable of significantly reducing power consumption and carbon emissions, alongside advanced indoor air quality systems such as those installed at Taj Cidade de Goa, which maintain PM2.5 levels below 10, creating one of the healthiest indoor environments for both guests and associates.

Technology-driven housekeeping solutions also attracted attention, with robotic carpet and floor-cleaning systems demonstrating how automation can improve cleaning consistency and productivity while allowing hotel associates to dedicate more time to personalised guest service.

Beyond guest-facing innovations, Tech Fest 2026 showcased several engineering and sustainability solutions designed to improve hotel infrastructure. These included advanced LPG safety management systems, intelligent digital metering, renewable energy technologies, and integrated sustainability dashboards that enable precise monitoring and management of energy and resource consumption.

The exhibition further highlighted next-generation water bottling plants aimed at eliminating single-use plastics, energy-generating fitness equipment, immersive audiovisual event technologies, and circular economy initiatives such as in-house sludge treatment and biogas generation systems that convert waste into valuable resources while lowering operational costs.

Speaking at the event, Ranjit Phillipose, Senior Vice President – Operations, IHCL Goa, said innovation must go hand in hand with environmental responsibility.

“As we celebrate innovation at Tech Fest 2026, let us remember that every sensor installed, every kilowatt saved, every litre of water conserved and every kilogram of waste recycled is not just a technological achievement, but a commitment to future generations. Let us lead that future with innovation, responsibility and purpose.”

Tech Fest 2026 reaffirmed IHCL Goa’s commitment to integrating technology, sustainability and operational excellence across its properties. By embracing intelligent solutions throughout hotel operations, the hospitality group continues to set new benchmarks in responsible luxury while building a smarter, safer and more sustainable future for the industry.
