Editorial Policy
Incredible Food & Hospitality combines magazine storytelling with timely coverage of hotels, restaurants, chefs, food, beverage, travel, people and the hospitality industry. This policy sets out the principles guiding that work.
Effective date: August 1, 2026
1. Editorial purpose
Our purpose is to inform readers, document the development of India’s food and hospitality sectors, recognise meaningful work and create a credible record of people, businesses, destinations and ideas shaping the industry.
2. Independence
Editorial decisions are guided by relevance, accuracy, reader value, public interest and the publication’s coverage priorities. Advertising or partnership does not grant a commercial party the right to dictate independent editorial conclusions.
3. Accuracy and verification
Writers and editors should take reasonable steps to verify names, designations, dates, quotations, claims and context. The level of verification may reflect the nature, urgency and source of the information.
4. Sources and attribution
Information obtained from another publication, document, study, agency, organisation or individual should be attributed where appropriate. Anonymous sourcing may be used only when justified and understood by the responsible editor.
5. Press releases and contributed material
Announcements and supplied material may be edited for clarity, length, relevance and house style. Supplied content should not be presented in a manner that misleads readers about its origin.
6. Interviews and quotations
Quotations should accurately reflect the speaker’s meaning. Reasonable editing for length or clarity must not materially change that meaning. Interview subjects do not ordinarily receive control over the final article unless review has been agreed for factual verification.
7. Reviews
Reviews should represent the writer’s honest assessment and distinguish observation from promotional claims. Complimentary access, hosted travel, meals, products or other material support should be disclosed internally and, where relevant to readers, in the published work.
8. Sponsored and partner content
Paid, sponsored, partner or brand-led material should be clearly identified using an appropriate label. Such material must still meet standards of legality, accuracy, transparency and reader respect.
9. Conflicts of interest
Contributors and editors should disclose financial, personal or professional relationships that could reasonably affect editorial judgement. Assignments may be reassigned or additional disclosure may be required.
10. Plagiarism, fabrication and manipulation
Plagiarism, fabricated quotations, invented facts, undisclosed deceptive editing and knowing misrepresentation are prohibited. Images should not be altered in a way that materially deceives readers about a newsworthy fact.
11. Fairness and dignity
Coverage should avoid unnecessary harm, discrimination, harassment or sensationalism. People and organisations affected by serious allegations should ordinarily receive a fair opportunity to respond when practical.
12. Corrections and contact
Confirmed material errors are handled under the Corrections Policy. Editorial questions and complaints may be submitted through the Contact Us page.
